Review: Built Case for iPad 2 (and the new iPad)
The Built iPad 2 case is a slip case made from Neoprene-like material, combined with a soft faux-fur interior. I picked up one up recently to see whether it could provide a neat solution...

Review: Sena Florence leather iPad 2 case
If you've read any of my other iOS device accessory reviews, you'll know that I have a bit of a penchant for good case/screen protector solutions that will protect the investment you've made in to an iPhone or iPad - and so I've been trying out a lot of different products.

The new iPad: first thoughts
Having now spent a bit of time with the new iPad, I thought I would note down some initial thoughts:
- Screen - one word: amazing! It's really quite noticeable on anything that is displaying text, and especially when you use the reticule to put the cursor in place. One of the few criticisms about the iPad 2 that I had was the resolution of the screen as compared with that on the iPhone 4/4S. Well now it looks fantastic!
- Weight - the new iPad is perceptibly heavier than its predecessor, and also a bit thicker too. I've seen a number of web forum comments saying that it's too heavy to hold for periods of time, but I really don't get the logic at all - if you are using the iPad for any length of time then you naturally prop it up or use a case stand (unless you're using it as some kind of over-engineered tray...?)!
- Battery Life/Heat - i haven't yet noticed any issues with either of these, any more so than I did with the iPad 2 ... if you've got things like WiFi, Location, and Automatic Downloads turned on, then from time to time the battery will drain faster - but thats to be expected!
These are all observations of physical characteristics, but since it's a device, that's to be expected - I'm sure as time goes on I'll have lots of points to note about iOS and various apps I use.
The new Apple TV
.... a nice update from Apple. Looking forward to seeing what streaming films at 1080p looks like, quality-wise!
